There is a particular magic to a Thursday. The working week is nearly done, the harbour is quiet, and SeaRock's lounge glows like a lantern at the water's edge. Somewhere around nine, the first name is called - and the room leans in.

What follows is the best kind of unscripted: a visiting honeymooner channelling Sinatra, a table of locals harmonising on a soca classic, a quiet guest who turns out to have a voice like warm rum. Our host keeps it moving, keeps it kind, and makes sure every singer gets their moment of applause.
